| Established in 1864, Dowlings Sewing Machines were one
of the first dealers to supply and service sewing machines in the
U.K. Originally operating from premises in City Road, London adjacent
to the Singer Sewing Machine Company. |
| Dowlings soon acquired an enviable reputation for their
specialised knowledge relating to the heavier areas of textile production.

| In 1990 Dowlings was purchased by FMS whose origins
were in the bra and corsetry trade, and now many years on the two
companies have combined their knowledge of the past with the technical
advances of today’s sewing machines to try and solve the many
and varied requirements of our customers both here in the UK and abroad. |
